I had the opportunity to present at a Mini-Keys Conference in Clarion, PA. At this conference, my professor and a couple of my colleagues presented on augmented reality for a break out session. Augmented reality is half way between reality and virtual reality. It overlays the 2D on the 3D. I presented on two apps, Elements 4D and Anatomy 4D. The link to both apps are provided above. On the websites, the trigger images for each will be found. Elements 4D also has lesson plans for elementary, middle, and high school levels. I created the slide above to show the other educators the main parts of the apps. These apps are exciting because of the images that become available to help understanding and learning. There were other apps that were presented by my peers. The presentation can be found in the link above. The conference was for many different types of teachers. The smore with the layout for the day and descriptions of sessions can be found in the link above. Throughout the day, I was able to listen to a panel about participating in a professional learning network on Twitter. I was also able to learn about alternatives to PowerPoint, such as Nearpod, Haiku Deck, and Adobe Slate. This conference was a valuable experience because I was able to participate in a professional learning network, present to other educators, learn from other educators, and dialogue with other professionals.
