Artifact Description:
Wizer is a tool that makes digital worksheets for formative assessments. This tool allows teachers to input text, videos, sound, images, and a variety of types of questions. They can also add a link or embed code. One of the unique tools is the image tagging. As demonstrated in the 5th picture, a teacher can add a picture and have the students label specific spots. To create a Wizer digital worksheet, you must sign up for an account. Besides signing up for an account, there is not much else to do. It is an easy tool to use that creates visually appealing worksheets. To create a worksheet, click that option, then add different parts of the worksheet from a box with options. To have students use the worksheet, I will send it to my students and have them work on it at home for homework or during class to check understanding. Their responses will be saved in a copy of the worksheet on my account so I can access their work. With the results, I can decide which topics I need to review in order to help the students make their understanding concrete. This fits into component 3D because it is a way to assess students and monitor their learning, which is element 2.
Artifact Reflection:
Making this digital worksheet was very easy. It is simple and has many options available. If I were to do this again, I would like to try it on a different topic to see how that would adjust the layout or allow for different kinds of questions on the worksheet. This learning ties into educational psychology because it provides a way for teachers to manage their students' understanding. In my future classroom, I can use it to see if the students understand the overall concepts, then later give specific problems that they can do.
