What is it?
The classroom should have a culture of life-long learning. It allows the students and the teacher to give 100% to their learning.
Why is it important?
Component 2B is important because an atmosphere of learning must be set by the students and the teacher so that work can be accomplished with full effort. Students should set high expectations and take pride in their work.

Elements
1 - Importance of Content and Learning
Students must be involved in leaning content and take initiative in their learning. Teachers must take advantage of teachable moments and have a clear point for the end of the lesson. |
2 - Expectations for Learning and Achievement
High expectations should be set for students that they can achieve but still be challenged by. |
3 - Student Pride in Work
Students should attentive while completing their work as well as revise it to reflect their best work. |
