Why is it important?
Communicating with students is important because activities, directions, and expectations must be clear. The information should be concise, appealing, and have appropriate scaffolds. Students' learning should connect to their interests and prior knowledge.

Students should understand the purpose of activities and connect learning to prior knowledge. |

Clear directions should be given to students and proper scaffolds should be provided. |
3 - Explanations of Content
Teachers must clearly present content to students and allow for learning to happen by using different teaching techniques. |
4 - Use of Oral and Written Language
Teachers should use proper grammar and language. The language should be easily understood, but still expand knowledge. |
