Component 4E is about developing as a professional educator through enhancing knowledge, being a service, and obtaining feedback.
Why is it important?
Developing professionally is important because educators are supposed to continue to learn past certification and learn from each other. They are also required to stay up to date and know effective strategies.

1 - Enhancement of Content Knowledge and Pedagogical Skill
Educators should stay up to date with content and pedagogy, and look for professional development. |
2 - Receptivity to Feedback from Colleagues
Teachers should be able to receive feedback from colleagues and administrators, then learn from that feedback and improve. |
3 - Service to the Profession
Educators should contribute to the profession by participating in workshops and conferences. |
