I had the opportunity to present to the Green Hills School Board of Education. For a Culturally Relevant Pedagogy class, I paired with Mrs. Stobie, my mother and the middle school science teacher, to create teaching tools for her English Language Learner student. To wrap up the project, the Superintendent, John Nittolo, asked me to present at the Board of Education meeting to inform the members of how Green Hills School is connecting with colleges like Grove City College to help future educators learn and assist present educators. Through this opportunity, I was able to demonstrate professionalism and my educational knowledge. I learned about collaborating with other teachers and how it can benefit more than one person. I hope that in the future I am able to collaborate with other teachers or represent my school or classroom to the Board of Education in a positive and impact filled way.
