Component 3C: Engaging Students in Learning
What is it?
Teachers must engage their students intellectually in the material and in the activities. Lessons must be meaningful and can be more engaging if they are interactive and if students can participate.
Why is it important?
Component 3C is important because without student engagement, learning will not happen. Students must be taught in their zone of proximal development using the proper scaffold in a structured environment.
