Artifact Description:
GeoGebra is a Google app that has online graphing tools. It can be used to graph in 2D or 3D as well as graph probability. There are different shapes, lines, critical points, tangent lines, and points that can be graphed or plotted. As shown in my presentation slide, GeoGebra is a software for geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics, and calculus. It can help with interactive learning, teaching, and evaluation. In the second image, I demonstrate plotting a graph, using GeoGebra to find the derivative and integral, and then plot the curves. Through this project, I was able to research different Google apps and the usefulness of them. GeoGebra fits into component 1D because it demonstrates knowledge of resources by showing a Google app that I have researched and now know how to use in my future classroom.
Artifact Reflection:
Google apps has many different tools to use in the classroom. I look forward to learning more about them and applying them to my classroom. GeoGebra is a very useful tool. It is a little strange to figure out, but very manageable to use in a classroom when many students need to use the same graphing tool. With a little more understanding, it would be very easy to teach a class how to use GeoGebra and use it in class to visualize different graphs.
